Program Manager - Water Projects

Programs Department Mbale, Uganda Full-time

Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of water infrastructure projects including wells, boreholes, and sanitation facilities. Coordinate with communities, partners, and technical teams to ensure sustainable water access solutions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Development Studies, or related field
• 3+ years experience in water/sanitation projects
• Strong project management skills
• Community engagement experience
• Fluency in English and local languages

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee water project implementation
• Conduct community needs assessments
• Manage project budgets and timelines
• Coordinate with technical contractors
• Prepare progress reports and documentation

Operations Coordinator

Ensure smooth daily operations across all programs and departments. Coordinate logistics, manage facilities, and support program implementation through efficient operational systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
• 2+ years experience in operations management
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Experience with NGO operations preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office and database management

Finance Officer

Finance Department Mbale, Uganda Full-time

Manage financial operations including budgeting, accounting, and financial reporting. Ensure compliance with donor requirements and maintain transparent financial management systems.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA certification preferred
• 3+ years experience in NGO financial management
• Knowledge of donor compliance requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial statements and reports
• Manage budgets and cash flow
• Ensure donor compliance and audit requirements
• Process payments and maintain records

Communications Specialist

Communications Department Mbale, Uganda Part-time

Develop and implement communication strategies to raise awareness about our programs and impact. Create compelling content for various platforms and manage stakeholder communications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Journalism
• 2+ years experience in communications/marketing
• Strong writing and storytelling skills
• Social media management experience
• Photography and basic design skills preferred

• Create content for website and social media
• Develop newsletters and promotional materials

• Support fundraising communication efforts

Community Outreach Officer

Programs Department Field-based Full-time

Build strong relationships with communities and facilitate program implementation at the grassroots level. Conduct assessments, provide training, and ensure community participation in all initiatives.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Social Work or Community Development
• 2+ years experience in community engagement
• Strong interpersonal and facilitation skills
