Poverty is not just a lack of resources—it’s a lack of opportunity. In Kameruka, many youth and women struggle to find stable income, leaving families trapped in cycles of dependency. Kakwanga Islamic Relief’s Livelihood Empowerment initiative aims to break this cycle by equipping individuals with vocational skills and startup support. Through training in tailoring, agriculture, and small business management, we help families become self-reliant and economically resilient.

Our program begins with community outreach to identify participants with potential and need. Training sessions are held in our community centers, where learners receive hands-on instruction from experienced mentors. Upon completion, graduates receive startup kits—such as sewing machines, farming tools, or seed capital—to launch their own enterprises. We also provide ongoing mentorship and access to microfinance opportunities to ensure long-term success.

The results speak for themselves. Widows who once relied on aid now run tailoring businesses. Youth who were unemployed now grow crops and sell produce at local markets. Families gain confidence, independence, and the ability to support their children’s education. With your support, we can expand this program to reach more communities, offer more training options, and build a network of empowered entrepreneurs. Livelihood is more than income—it’s dignity, stability, and hope.
